Walgreens success for 6/5/2011

I love it when a plan comes together.

If any of you aren't familiar with shopping at the drugstore Walgreens, let me fill you in: It can be a pain in my rump. Really.  They have issues with keeping items in stock and they can be crabby when you ask about it.  I'm sure it's not a universal Walgreens thing, but I have had some rough experiences and so have many people I've talked to.  But today, my story was one of success:

When I do multiple transactions, I usually go to multiple stores so I don't clear shelves.  I firmly believe that coupon karma exists and shelf-clearers will get theirs.  At every store I went to, things were in stock except for the Reach floss.  I talked with a manager about it because my coupon was an 'off 2' coupon and the way it reads, it looks like I need the floss.  The manager looked at the coupon and told me that it should be fine if I bought two toothbrushes instead... and it did.  And I got an additional $1 RR for the toothbrushes, proving that the coupon karma is on my side today.

I got $50.80 worth of product and spent $2.54 out-of-pocket.  Of that, $1.36 was tax.  You've gotta love a good deal.  I used one of my $3 Reach RRs with a Manufacturer's coupon to get free Pringles.  Free is super-duper.  See my 'really hard to read because my camera is not super-duper' receipt:

I also got two catalina coupons at the register for Fashion Bug.  They are for $10 off a purchase of $25 or more.  I don't think we have a Fashion Bug anywhere near me, so if anyone wants them, let me know.  They expire on the 26th of June, so I'll mail them out this week for ya.  Spreading coupon joy, that's my job.
