Would you like to hear what I spent? OK, I'll tell you, but I'm subtracting the donation of sunscreen that the cashier asked from me to send to the troops overseas. Without that purchase, my out-of-pocket cost before tax was $0.30. That's right, a quarter and a nickel.
Do you see the cereal? On sale, $2.50 a box. Do you see the Chex Mix? (I hope you did because my children have already eaten it. They were standing next to me as I took the picture, drooling.) The Chex Mix was on sale for $1.50.
I paid $0.30 before tax.
Let's talk about this product:
It's anti-aging cream. Totally not for me. No way. (I am deep in crow's feet denial and I'm quite happy there.) These are $4.19 each and there were coupons last month for $4 off one. Great deal, right? Well, CVS has a deal this week when you buy $20 worth of Lumene products... you'll get a $5 ECB. So I paid $0.95 for all four after coupons and got a $5 ECB back. Profit. Love it.
I totally don't need to use it. Denial ain't just a river in Egypt.
Here's my proof. I pointed an arrow at the subtotal and the cost of the sunscreen for the troops. I don't do enough for the troops, truly. There are about a billion ways I could help the troops and I haven't... and I feel tremendous guilt for it. So whenever the cashier asks for the donation, I give it. It's not enough.
Please go get a CVS card. It's free. It takes about a minute. You get free stuff.
You'll thank me!

Woo Hoo! Great trip! I just love CVS. Although I haven't been in a while. I got a little burned out of the rushing out the door to go to CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Publix, Kroger, Aldi trips! Then my coupon binder became overrun with unclipped coupons.
ReplyDeleteDetermined to have that remedied before Sunday! We'll see...
