I still have my youngest son at home with me, but it's different. There will be half the requests for juice, half the requests for snacks, half the requests for playing pirate ship, half the whining, and absolutely none of the 'he's not sharing, that's not fair' conundrums I've been experiencing for the past several months.
I think this will be a transition, and mostly on my end. My oldest son gets tons of new, awesome experiences, while I feel an early version of the empty-nest syndrome. I might weep openly.
Don't worry for me though: my youngest son will no doubt keep me on my toes. Why, just today, he argued with me about why he couldn't eat dirt. This should be interesting. When does Christmas break start?

Hope you son is enjoying it! My son started school on Tuesday and daughter started nursery on Thursday, now I am home alone for 2.5 hrs a day, not sure I like it!!
ReplyDeleteAww! Before you know it, your son will be going into 5th grade like my DD! It happened in a blink. :( Where's the pause button?
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a blessed weekend!
Yikes! I'll be experiencing some of the same in a week. It's only preschool, but the effect on the mama is the same! I'm with Jennifer, where is that darn pause button?!?!
