If you're hopping around blogland or on Pinterest, I'm assuming you've seen this:

I knew exactly where to get the bin, so off I went. Ahem.
They don't have that type of bin anymore. Would I be more interested in a different bin? No, kind sir, I need that bin. In that size. And you shall give it to me or I shall send you to the Tower.
Sorry, I've been watching a lot of "The Tudors" lately.
I found a bin at CVS for $1. In a pinch, I gave it a whirl.
I took my dowel, cut it to the right size, and put ribbon on it. If you do this project, you will be interrupted by a two-year old asking for his picture to be taken. At least, that was my experience.
After that was out of the way, the ribbon basket was complete. Really, it was that quick.
And why is it that when I'm fully prepared to store my ribbon, I can't find half of it? Most days, I'm tripping over it... ah well, at least I have a place for it when I do find it.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to continue watching "The Tudors".

LOVE pinterest - it's a huge timewaster - but oh the idea!!!

This is so neat. I don't do a lot of sewing like I use to, so I don't have a bunch of ribbon laying around anymore. I wonder if I can do something like this with thread... I know people who sew, so I'll definitely share with them. http://decoratingwcents.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteLove this! Yes Pinterest is getting out of had, I have created to many boards....I'll post my pinterest link on my blog and we can follow each other.
ReplyDeleteHey, you're one step ahead of me! I've bought the dowel, just need to find my craft room under all the mess to see if I have a basket that will work.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I lived without Pinterest! I'm on there as "Firesparx" if you want to follow my madness.
