It's Impolite To Blog With Your Mouth Full.

And my mother raised me right. So pardon me while I finish this mouthful of banana bread. Mmmmmmmmmm.

It could be the easiest recipe for banana bread ever. Throw the following into a blender or a mixer:

1/2 cup butter
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp lemon juice
3 bananas, cut up

I softened the butter, that's why it's bendy.

Pulse it in the blender or mix it up 'real good' as my mother would say, in the mixer.  It should look something like this:
Then add:

2 cups of flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Throw that in the mix.  Yes, throw it. Your kids will think it's snowing.  Mix it up and it should look like this:
If you want to get wild, now's the time to throw in a cup of chocolate chips.  That would be far too close to nirvana for me (also, I didn't have any), so I left it alone.

Pour it into a loaf pan.
Bake it at 350 degrees for about an hour and 15 minutes or so.  It will start to smell banana-riffic in your house.

When the timer goes off, let it cool for a minute before diving in.  I love it warm with butter on it, but it's good completely cool, too.  The simplest banana bread recipe I know!
