24 Days of Thanksgiving - Glitter Candles

Is there anything that glitter won't make pretty? If there is, I haven't found it yet. This project is so simple, but it looks so pretty!

You'll need:
Candles of any shape and size you like
Spray adhesive or glue
Glitter
The will and determination of a thrifty crafter
Simple already.

For this project, I taped off the tops of the candles and the wicks of the tapers since I didn't want that part glittered. Moderation. That's my secret.  I sprayed the candles with glue and glittered them.
Has the simple-ness washed over you? Is 'simple-ness' not a word?

Let them dry.
Put them in some candle holders and light them.
Pretty. Simple. Cheap.

Enjoy.

  1. You've lit up my morning. Get it? This is a craft I could make. I wonder if they make orange glitter? Put that on the shopping list.

  6. Love the simpleness of this project, looks great! The Breakfast Casserole looks good, but that is what my brother makes for the family. We always have breakfast at their house, you know, Santa, Christmas morning, and all of that.

  7. These are great, I am going to ask a dumb question. When you say you sprayed glue on the candles, what did you use? I haven't ever heard of spray glue before, I am so behind in the craft department. :(

  8. Love your candles. I have a question, however. I used glitter glue to make a swirl pattern on white candles for a wedding. After I let them dry, the glue just pulled off the wax. Do you know if there is something I could spray on them...that's not flammable, of course....? Thank you in advance for your reply. Sharon sharonss@roadrunner.com

I love all the comments I get from you! Because of an insane amount of spam, I had to turn off anonymous commenting but I'd love it if you'd comment anyway!
