We are 11 days from Christmas. Let me repeat that: THERE ARE ONLY 11 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS. Although I seem calm in this blog post, please know that I'm swearing like a teenager who's just been grounded. Yowsa.
If you are buying any gifts online, you'll need to get it ordered this week. If you do it next week, you'll panic and pay an exorbitant shipping charge to get it here on time and I love you too much to let that happen. So, if you were planning on sending a super-duper gift to a super-duper blogger, now's the time to do it. No pressure though.
Friday the 16th is 'Free Shipping Day'... there are over 2,000 retailers participating, offering free shipping with a delivery guarantee of December 24th or earlier. Some retailers participating are Bed, Bath & Beyond, Kohl's, Meijer, K-Mart, Old Navy and bunches more... check it out at Free Shipping, they've got the 'low-down' as the punk kids in my neighborhood call it.
If you do buy online, please make sure you're buying it at the right price... and CHECK FOR DISCOUNT CODES. Retail Me Not is a great site for finding coupon codes, they've got 'em all.
And please, pretty please, check CVS and Walgreens for cheap candy for the stockings! This week, Walgreens has the Russell Stover chocolate covered Santas on sale for $0.39 each... and if you 'like' Peeps on facebook, you'll get a coupon for $1 off two, making them free at Walgreens! My husband opens the package and lets them get stale and hard before he eats them. Sweet gravy, does that sound awful.
So go then. Get your bargain shopping on... and remember that in all the hustle and bustle, the true meaning of Christmas should shine through: that some bloggers would love a new pair of gloves or a brand-new car. Whichever.
