Take:
3 tblsp butter
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup parmesan cheese
Put the cream and butter in a pan and let them come up to room temperature. I'm not sure why that's important, but it makes for a better sauce.
Heat it up on medium until the butter melts.
Admire your parmesan cheese. Say something supportive to it.
I have been accused, in the past, of adding more than a cup of parmesan cheese to this sauce. I adamantly deny these accusations and blame the non-dairy lobbyists for these charges. I intend to fight on and clear my name.
Once the butter has melted in the pan, whisk in the cheese.
Keep a-whisking while it's melting. Feel free to boil some pasta and steam some broccoli while you're whisking, since I'm sure you have several extra hands.
Once you get to a thickness you're happy with, add it to some pasta and toss it together.
Mmmmm.
I add some broccoli to counter-act any lasting calories... bon appetit!
Three ingredients for that sauce... which is great because between episodes of The Office and reading eleventy-hundred blogs, I'm a busy gal.
YUM!!! 3 ingredients sounds perfect to me. Sorry I've been absent lately, life happens. **grins**
ReplyDeleteThis is going in my go to easy recipe list. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSeriously - this is all it takes? Man, I wish I'd known this earlier - I'll be trying this very soon, we eat pasta at least once a week! I pinned it, too, because that's the only way I have a hope of staying organized!
