Pillsbury sent me an email about making a skillet cookie. I pinned it for you here. The ingredients are as follows:
A roll of cookie dough.
Well, that was easy. I took the cookie dough and plopped it into a cast iron skillet.
Really, it made more of a thudding sound than a plopping. But whatevs.
I squished the roll into the pan.
Before you even ask, yes, I am ridiculously pale. The sun has hidden from me for a thousand years.
OK... now it's in the pan.
Easy so far... I baked it at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Good gravy.
I let it cool for about ten minutes and then cut it up.
Well, I think we can do better than that.
We're getting there...
Mommy likey.
It really could have used some whipped cream and a cherry on top, but that would have been trying too hard.
Now if you'll excuse me, I must stuff my face.

Well, who knew? Sure beats cornbread in the old iron skillet!
ReplyDeleteLooks yummy! But the giggle your post gave me was even better!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that looks so good, especially with the ice cream and chocolate.
ReplyDeleteYum, thanks!
ReplyDeletebtw, I pinned your version instead, (it's prettier & the extra calories look so nice).
ReplyDeleteWe make these at my house all the time, all though we usually use a pizza pan and an extra large roll of dough. It's delish and works so well - and the "cookie pie" as we call it is always more moist than the individual cookies. Mmmm.
ReplyDeleteOh my! This looks so yummy! Thank goodness I don't have an iron skillet or I'd want to make this now. Hmmm...maybe I now have a reason to go buy one. lol
ReplyDeleteThat looks yummy with the ice cream. I definitly see a roll of cookie dough in my next shopping trip. Have a fabulous weekend!
