St. Patrick's Day Canvas

I didn't have much decor for St. Patrick's day... we aren't Irish over here.  I suppose that families with Irish heritage have lots of St. Patrick's day decorations... we Italians, we celebrate olive oil.

At any rate, I needed to whip up an easy craft for the holiday.  I wanted something big though, so I got some long canvas at Michael's.

I wanted to paint the whole thing green.  I found an acrylic paint by the color name "Shamrock".  It was meant to be.  I used an old gift card to paint it... that's a quick way to do it and if you only do one or two coats, it leaves a fun finish...

Do you see? Fun finish.

I put some white vinyl letters on and that was that.  Super easy and now I'm festive!

I am lucky.  I always have been... that's how I roll.

Any fun St. Patrick's day crafts up your sleeve?

  1. You always have the best ideas! I'm continuing to declutter, and last night I held about a dozen wooden napkin rings in my hand. I tried and tried to come up with a use for them before eventually tossing them in the giveaway pile. I just don't have that creative gene - but I can appreciate it in you! Good job.

I love all the comments I get from you! Because of an insane amount of spam, I had to turn off anonymous commenting but I'd love it if you'd comment anyway!
