Mother's Day Gift

So, for Easter, I made these little egg pouches out of scrapbook paper and filled them with jelly beans... you know, to give to the family.

My mother refused to open hers.  She said it was too pretty.  Geez.

So, I made something for her for Mother's Day that she wouldn't have to open.  See this post for the process (it's so easy).

This time, instead of jelly beans, I got some potpourri.  Do you see that bag of potpourri?  Some of the pieces were too big so I thought I'd smash them up with a hammer.

Those things are indestructible.  I even backed my car over them.  We need to make space shuttles out of those things.

I used a heart shape this time, filled them with the indestructible potpourri, and threaded them up with embroidery floss.

These smell great... and my mother is a huge fan of putting these little sachets in her dresser drawers, so I think this should make her happy.  And maybe, she can finally eat those jelly beans.

  2. Your comments on the indestructible potpourri just cracked me up. I love the sachets, too. I'm old enough to have put those in my drawers when I was a teenager.

I love all the comments I get from you! Because of an insane amount of spam, I had to turn off anonymous commenting but I'd love it if you'd comment anyway!
