There were so many of you assuring me I wasn't hefty. And I don't really feel hefty anyway, but I love that all of you saw someone being called a name and rushed to reassure them that they were just super. Every one of you proved what kind of blogger and person you are by supporting another blogger when they're targeted by a mean comment. I can't thank all of you enough. I replied to every comment (I think!)... if you didn't get a reply to your comment, check to see if you're a no-reply blogger!
Oh, and do me a favor: If any of you get a mean comment, BLOG ABOUT IT. Put it out there. Don't be intimidated and just delete without standing up for yourself. The amount of support I received yesterday made me feel loved. For reals. I have the best readers ever. 'Cause they're my friends, too.
With all that support, today turned out to be a bad day to pick giveaway winners... I mean, all those awesome comments made me question the number of winners to pick. I picked one and then I was like, "No, my readers deserve more of a chance to win." So then I picked two. And three. It just got more serious after that.
I picked ten winners. And I don't feel like that's enough. I had to draw the line though, because it's going to take me a million years to make all these prizes. I am a glutton for punishment.
Here's the winners! I'm going to email all of you and let you pick a prize. If you didn't win, don't worry! I think I'll be doing more giveaways like this again soon because I have no idea about my limitations. I'm sort of a wannabe-superwoman over here. :)

I once got a mean comment, but it was in a foreign language and while the translation used words like "bitter" and "hateful" I couldn't rely on it enough to call it out so I just deleted it. I'm glad that you had such a great response.

ReplyDeleteOk. I read yesterday's pot and looked at the pic you had with the recipe and I have to say I'm peeved!! I would venture to guess you and I are about the same size. Considering the epidimic of obesity in this country, having the nerve to call you hefty nearly leaves me speechless. NEARLY! I would love someone to tell me I'm hefty. Hopefully she will see your post and at least woman up and admit who she is. Her comments were the "gross" part. I'm sorry you had that happen to you!

ReplyDeleteI just had my blog attacked by an ex-friend it was enormous had bad this made me feel, it was my post titled "whats my problem" in the comment section this person airs her stupid assumption and causes all kinds of private e-mails from others that know we are no longer friends but like you the support from MBBF (my best bloggee friends) got me past manslaughter. we are a strong united group I have found & girl I gotcha back!! Have a better tomorrow :}
