31 Days of Halloween - Paper Votives

So yesterday, I showed you how I used vinyl and my Silhouette to make a silhouette candle holder.  And that's great and all, but what if you have no vinyl? No Silhouette?  I am not going to tell you to run out and buy one just to make one project... so let's talk about another way to make a cute little candle holder.

1.  Get some scrapbook paper.

2. Dig out your scrapbook patterned scissors.

3. Grab a Halloween paper punch.  Find a pretty little shape, like a witchy hat.

Cut the paper with your scissors to a votive height... use the punch to make a shape in the middle, and tape it together at the ends.  BOOM.  You're done.

I used a shape that had little paper pieces in the middle so I put it on contact paper and adhered it to the inside of the paper.  An LED tealight is perfect for lighting it up... is this not the cutest little thing?  Even the kids could make it!

  1. Great idea, especially since I don't have a Silhouette! Sounds like a good weekend project with the kids.

  2. I love that you give options for lazy and cheap crafters :)

I love all the comments I get from you! Because of an insane amount of spam, I had to turn off anonymous commenting but I'd love it if you'd comment anyway!
