For the month of October, Halloween is your reasonable excuse... and to dress it up to fool the masses, you can make a spiderweb out of frosting. It's so easy, you'll gain ten pounds this month alone. It's the start of the holidays though, so you'll get away with it.
Make yourself a cake and frost it.
Using another color of frosting, fill a little sandwich bag and snip one corner. Just a tiny little hole will do...
Start in the middle and make one frosting line, in circles around the cake. Feel free to eat some of the frosting now because we're impatient and deserve it.
Take a toothpick and draw a line from the center of the cake to the edge. Do this around the cake as many times as you like... see how it's like a web?
See? The perfect excuse for eating cake... you're just being festive. Now you'll have to excuse me, I'm getting chocolate frosting all over my laptop.

Awesome! I have always wanted to know how to do that! Thank you - mystery solved. Now, I have to clean the drool off my laptop.
ReplyDeleteThat looks way too pretty for any spiders! Thanks for the tip. I'm like Karen - never knew how to do that. It sure dresses up a cake.
